Consorzio Venezia Nuova is the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport - Venice Water Authority concessionary for work to safeguard Venice and the lagoon delegated to the State, in implementation of Law
no. 798/84. It is made up of major Italian construction companies and local cooperatives and firms.

The aim of this vast programme of interventions, which has been carried out for many years now,  is to protect Venice against high waters and sea storms and safeguard the lagoon ecosystem environment.
